Director Tang Guangfu Invited to Attend the 10th Purple Mountain Forum and Deliver Keynote Speech

On August 16-17, 2025, the Engineering Technology Forum of CAE & the 10th Purple Mountain Forum were held in Nanjing.
Director Tang Guangfu was invited to attend the forums and delivered a keynote speech titled “Development Trends in New Energy System Technologies.” In his report, he systematically analyzed the three major challenges facing China’s energy development and the four aspects of constructing a new energy system. He elaborated on energy development trends such as the scaling up of clean energy, the cleaning up of fossil energy, and the diversification of hydrogen energy and energy storage. He also provided an in-depth analysis of the strategic key points and frontier technologies for energy transformation and development. His research presented several major scientific and technological innovation scenarios aimed at accelerating the construction of a new energy system, offering valuable references for China’s energy transition and low-carbon development.
This conference, centered around the theme “High-Quality Development of New Energy Supports the Construction of New Energy System,” invited 53 academicians, professors, and scholars from China and Canada to exchange the latest research findings and to forecast new technologies, new models, and new business formats in the energy and power sectors. Eight experts, including CAE academicians Xue Yusheng, Shu Yinbiao, Luo An, and Tang Guangfu, CAS academician Zhou Xiaoxin, Canadian Academy of Engineering academician Zhang Yi, Liu Yunpeng, Vice President of North China Electric Power University, and Fu Yang, Vice President of Shanghai University of Electric Power, delivered keynote speeches.
